I´m looking for somebody who is very important to me. He´s name is Lionel xxxxxx ( although I call him Daniel…long story:). I have known him for over 6 years and lost touch with him (around 3 yrs ago) when I moved to Gran Canaria ( life can take over!). I miss him dearly and the thought of not seeing him again scares me. He was born xx.xx.1983 and has lived in Tottenham for most of his life although I don´t know where exactly ( you´d think I would!). He used to play professional football for Tottenham and then transferred to Wimbledon Football club but due to knee injuries I don´t think he plays anymore.
Please help me find him, I´m sure he´s looking out for me too.
P.S: He calls me Jaylan ( that´s how it´s pronounced). Thank you so much for your help.

Your friend was born in Enfield North London with a very unusual first name and it was actually spelt LIONWELL xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxx This is probably Welsh.
I think he now just spells it the usual way LIONEL
There are 4 people called Lionel x xxxxxxxx in the UK
The only way to find him would be if you would write to these people if I provide full details. All the phone numbers are ex-directory.
Please let me know if you would like further details. If you would, then please log onto the homepage of my website www.findanoldfriend.co.uk and you will see that this is a leading search facility for the ex-service community and other mature people and you will know that you will not be let down.
Then please go to the payment section to enable you to send a small donation 30 euro for the consultancy and I will send you full details by return.
I will also write to these people for you as you are not in the UK.
As this is a personal service I will stay on line for you until I know you are in contact with the right person.
I look forward to helping you Jaylan

Sorry it´s taken a while to get in touch. I´m really interested though I´m feeling a little insecure about the whole thing, it´s very hard to trust people with your money these days and I´m not in a very good financial position at the moment.
I have a good vibe about you but how can you be sure we´ll find him?
Please e-mail me back, just as a little confirmation that I can trust you.
My mum has said she will pay for it as a gift to me, I know it´s not a lot of money but when you really don´t have any it is.
I appreciate the fact that you´ve e-mail me personally already so thank you for that.
I look forward to hearing from you,

There’s not a lot I can say really as it says on my website that if you are not happy you will always get your money back and it hardly ever happens.
I am the one that has to be careful , not you, as several times I’ve done my job and gone soft and never got a penny after I gave out the information so I don’t do it any more! A lot of money is spent on maintaining the data on this service.
I am a pensioner of 81 and if you read my website you can see about my early life in the wartime. I am not a company but just a person with the technical help of two of my children.
I know about not having much money and understand what you say.
What are you doing out there and how old are you Jaylan ?
Another of my sons lives in Tenerife with his family and has been there 5 years now.
I dont know of any other people finding service that is as personal as mine , if you find another I would be interested to know.
I will provide you with the address of every person with your friend’s name so the only way you won’t find him is that he is no longer in the UK like yourself.
I also work as tracer for a large military website called www.forcesreunited.org.uk and I can send you copies of very many letters of recommendation over the past 5 years from around the world.
I will be ready to help you when you are ready.

I am very sorry I doubted you, you sound very genuine and I appreciate the time you have taken to e-mail me back.
I am only 22 years old ( feel much older:)) and I´m currently lookingfor work to get me by till I can get back home ( September ). I´ve got a beautiful dog and I have to wait for the initial 6 months to pass (for the bloodtest) before we can fly home otherwise he´ll go into quaranteen.
I´ve decided I want to take action Robin, I´ve been wanting to get back in touch for a long time now and no I haven´t found any other service like yours…so far:)
I´m going to your website now so I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you very much for even trying to help me find him.

We are dog lovers too and have a nice cocker spaniel called Jasper or Jazzy. It is my daughter’s third dog and she lives at home with us.
Thank you very much for your kind donation to the service and I would expect your old friend to be living at the following address.
Lionel x xxxxxxxx is living with xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx at:
xx xxxxxxxx ROAD LONDON N15 xxx
There is no published phone number and so you will have to send him a letter.
Is that OK or do you want me to do it?
If you want me to write I will give him your email address.but please tell me anything you want me to say.
If your friend has moved out out London there are three other addresses where he can be so do not worry.
I hope you will get your dog through all the arrangements OK.
I didn’t have to check football teams as they are the same as any employer and are not allowed to tell where their players live.
It’s because of the data protection act.
I look forward to your reply
Kind regards and take care

I have a great big smile on my face! even if this isn´t the address I feel like I´m getting somewhere so thank you very much!
I have to be honest, I wouldn´t know where to start if I was to send the letter. It would be great if you could do it for me? If so then he knows me as Jaylan ( it´s the same as Ceylan but spelt differently, I´m Turkish you see).
It was all my fault we lost touch, I was being stubborn ( as usual:). I just need him to know I miss him so much and that I need him to get in touch. Life hasn´t been the same without him, you can´t really expect it to be when your missing one of your best friends. I know he´s had a hard time with he´s career due to he´s injuries and I really would have wanted to be there for him through it all.
I miss reading him my poems:)) even though he´s response would be ” it sounded like the one you wrote before!”:)
I would like him to contact me by phone Robin if thats possible if so it´s: 0034 638 516 xxx.
As I said before, I´ll be coming back from Gran Canaria in September and it wouldn´t be the same in London if I didn´t have Daniel around (Lionel).
I can´t thank you enough Robin and if we do find him then I will have to send you the biggest bouqet I could find, though that wouldn´t even show my complete appreciation.
Please keep in touch and once again…Thank you Robin.

I have now written to the person I told you about in my last email which is the most likely one of four possibilities.
I am sorry for the delay due to the Easter holiday but I will contact you as soon as I get a reply.
I also hope he will phone you on the number you gave me.
I will stay in touch and write to the others if this is wrong.
I hope you are keeping OK with the dog out there.
Best regards Robin

I don´t know where to start…You are the greatest guy I have ever known!!!
I got the call I´ve been waiting for for so many years. It was Daniel! you found him for me. I am extremely happy I found your website, you have made my dream come
true and I really don´t know how to thank you enough.
Something inside was missing for a very long time and you´ve completed me by finding him.
Robin you are a wonderful man and should be VERY proud of your service.
I´m thanking you from my heart and will be using your service again in the future.
P.S: I will get in touch when I get back to London and send you big bouquet like I promised:))))))
